Jyalen, the calmer brown and white stallion, leads you away to a corner of the meadow. He gives you a small smile.
"Sorry, I had to get you out of there before something ugly happened."
You nod in understanding, which makes him relax.
"Anyway, I've got to be off but I'll be listening out for you if you yell or something. I think Mysesia is around here. She's harmless." Jyalen nods his head a little, then turns on a hoof and trots away into the surrounding forest. You wait, scuffing your feet in the grass, waiting to see if this Mysesia shows up. After a long wait, a lovely paint mare with blue/purple markings ambles into view, grazing quietly by herself.
Her coloration makes it quite evident who her parents are, so you're reluctant to introduce yourself to her. Instead, you sit and watch her movements for awhile, feeling completely at ease until you suddenly hear a loud snort and prick at the back of your neck. You freeze.
"I think you should move on now," a masculine voice comments, followed by another snort. The pricking sensation at the back of your neck stops but you don't relax very much. A stallion with a forest green tinged mane now comes in front of you, eyes narrowed suspiciously. "You're at the edge Band territory."
You explain that you mean them no harm, but the stallion doesn't look completely convinced. Luckily for you, another crystal stallion has approached and he doesn't look nearly as threatening.
"What is this Dayfili'Quis?" the new crystal says, eyeing you with interest. He gives you a friendly wink.
"Just a traveler Yixen'Maha. I think it wants to see the mares."
The grey stallion chuckles. "Are we gonna let it?"
Dayfili snorts, swishing his tail, but nods. "Very well. Come along."
The two stallions turn and head off towards a gathering of mares nearby. You follow.
