This trip through the portal doesn't take very long, only a few minutes. You are dropped in a meadow with waist high grass. Two large creatures, Zyanix you assume, mill around boredly. The first, a large brown female, notices you. She grins and nudges her companion who glances up and grins. Both approach you.
The first speaks, grinning widely. "'lo! I'm Nanaki. Who're you?"

You introduce yourself to her, trying to avoid the large grey head that has come up beside you and is sniffing you carefully. Nanaki giggles. "Oh, don't mind her," points a claw at the grey female. "She's Janidae...and is always very curious."
Janidae looks satisfied after she gives you another sniff and decides you aren't worth pouncing.

"I see Jani has decided not to give you the proper welcome. Perhaps it's because you look a bit ragged from portal travels?" Nanaki muses.
Jani snorts and flicks her tail in the face of the older Zyanix.
Nanaki nips the tail affectionately but edges away from Jani.
"I think perhaps you should be on your way. There's a lot to see yet and I know you wouldn't want to waste your time here."
The two Zyanix bow and then back up as you skip into the nearest portal.
